Downtown Disney District Shopping, Dining, & Entertainment Guide 2020

downtown disney

Downtown Disney District is an outdoor shopping center located between Disneyland and California Adventure Park. The area opened on January 12, 2001, as part of the Disneyland Resort expansion project (which also included the building of Disney California Adventure Park and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa).

Downtown Disney is the ultimate shopping, dining, and entertainment area of the Disneyland Resort. With over 22 restaurants and 15 shops to choose from, there’s something for the whole family to enjoy!

NOTE: Not all shops and restaurants are open right now in Downtown Disney. Bookmark this page for current updates or check out the latest news on Disneyland Covid-19 closures and safety precautions

Entertainment

ALL DOWNTOWN DISNEY ENTERTAINMENT IS POSTPONED DUE TO COVID-19.

Normally, Downtown Disney is the life of the party – especially at night. However, due to the coronavirus, all entertainment has been prohibited.

Bathrooms

Mens and women’s bathrooms are located around Downtown Disney.

At the moment, there is only one companion bathroom that I am aware of in Downtown Disney. If you require help from the opposite sex to use the bathroom, there is one stall located in the large Starbucks near the World of Disney Store.

They have single stalls and are bigger than most. Once you’re inside Starbucks, walk past all the coffee lines and registers (which are on the right) and then head down the hall slightly on the left.

Hopefully, Disney will rectify the “lack of accessible bathroom” issue soon for the Downtown Disney area.

Well, as you can see, there’s plenty to keep you busy and entertained! Let me know if you have any questions
