One of my favorite places to relax, unwind, and enjoy a tasty feast is at the Catal Restaurant and Uva Bar.
This elegant eatery is home to some of the best gourmet cousine you’ll find on Disney property. Whether you’re looking for a more luxurious experience or casual dining, Catal offers both, making this a great option for the whole family.
This restaurant offers a modern selection of classic American and Mediterranean dishes designed to tantalize and satisfy even the most pickiest of eaters.
You’ll be able to bask in the fine dining of a variety of foods including: grilled seafood, a selection of meats, juicy burgers, fresh salads, and much more.
Catal also offers a more casual dining experience with separate indoor or outdoor seating at the semi-detached Uva Bar and Cafe.
The average price to eat or drink at this restaurant varies between $15.00 and $35.00 per adult.
Annual pass holder discounts are available. (As a family of three who ordered some of the most expensive items on the menu, I paid roughly $105.00 including tax.)
A theme park ticket is not required to eat here.
When parking in the Downtown Disney parking area, you are able to have your parking validated when you spend a minimum of $20.00.
Here’s the scoop on everything Catal restaurant has to offer…
Location & Hours
You can find this restaurant in the Downtown Disney District in between Marceline’s Confectionary and Sprinkles.
Hours of operation vary by day, but are usually as follows:
Breakfast: 8:00AM – 11:00AM
Lunch: 12:00PM – 3:00PM
Dinner: 5:00PM – 9:30PM
Always check the official Disneyland website or app for current hours of operation.
Reservations are highly recommended and can be made up to 60 days in advance.
If you’re a last minute planner, I encourage you to call anyway to see if you can snag a reservation. It won’t hurt to see if someone has made a cancellation. Call (714) 781-DINE (3463) between 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM daily (Pacific Time).
How to Make a Reservation
First, select the Catal restaurant and choose your desired date, time, and how many people will be joining you. Click on “search times” and you should see a selection of available time slots.
Second, you’ll have the opportunity to make a variety of special dietary requests. Check the box for each food you or someone in your party may not be able to eat.
Third, there’s an additional option to select if you or someone in your party will need wheelchair accessibility.
Finally, after you’ve made each of the above selections, you’ll receive a confirmation stating that your special requisitions have been received and noted.
Catal offers a variety of seating options depending on your preference.
If you want to experience a more quiet atmosphere, I recommend sitting upstairs. There you will be able to choose from indoor seating (quieter) or outdoor seating (noisier) on the terrace that overlooks Downtown Disney.
An elevator is available to escort guests upstairs.
For a more casual dining experience, downstairs offers indoor and outdoor seating as well.
Outdoor seating is surrounded by a full bar that includes premium draft beers, over 40 types of wine by the glass, and daily happy hours.
It’s the perfect place to soak up the beautiful California weather, mingle with friends, and people watch to your heart’s content!
Whether you’ve come to Catal Restaurant to enjoy breakfast, lunch, or dinner, make sure to bring your appetite. Kids menus are offered with each meal.
Family Favorite Dishes
Here are my top 3 entree recommendations if you are dining for dinner:
(1.) First up is a 12 ounce, slow roasted prime rib with new potato mash and beef jus (this item is a limited available option). This meat was cooked “medium” and melted in our mouth like butter.
Everything on the plate was bursting with flavor that left us wanting more and more. Portion size was very generous and satisfying.
(2.) Next is the delectable roasted chicken with mashed potatoes, corn purèe, and tarragon pesto. This is my absolute favorite classic, American dish.
The meat was full of flavorful herbs that perfectly complimented the buttery potato mash. I highly recommend this mouth-watering dish! Portion size was excellent and left me feeling full.
(3.) Last is the Steelhead Salmon with asparagus, caramelized onions, fingerling potatoes, and romesco sauce.
I’m not a fan of ordering fish when I’m at a restaurant, but I had a taste of this succulent golden perfection and it was AMAZING. Flaky, moist, savory, and totally satisfying. Another highly recommended dinner option.
